Spice Mobility has launched flagship Android branded retail experience stores that would sell a comprehensive selection of Android smartphones and tablets. These first of its kind multi-location stores will offer Android experiences created for its customers and will showcase a comprehensive range of Android devices, services, and accessories.
The first of the two multi-branded retail stores - AndroidLand - are now open in Koramangala, Bangalore and Great India Place, Noida. Spice Mobility is one of India's leading mobile technology retailer with an existing chain - Spice HotSpot - of over 650 stores across India.
AndroidLand has a wide variety of interactive live demo units that customers can play with to experience the Android platform. The stores feature devices and accessories from all global brands like Samsung, Sony, HTC, Lenovo, and LG and leading Indian brands like Micromax, Karbonn, and of course Spice.
The staff present at the store, called Spice Android Experience Specialists, is trained to ensure they can help showcase the best of what the Android platform has to offer. These specialists would also help the customers select the device that's right for them and then set-up, customize, and provide apps recommendations.
The store also features a Google Play Zone - an exclusive area showcasing the most popular apps and games from Google Play. Customers can choose to search and download multiple applications from Google Play on the spot.
Android is the leading smartphone platform in India, and unlike the global scenario, the lead margin is huge. An experience store like this would further accelerate that momentum, adding value to the entire Android ecosystem including app developers and device manufacturers.
