How to Hide Files & Folder Super Hidden

A free and safe method to hide a file or folder from others in your system without using any application.

For this you need to open dos prompt. (For Windows 7 or higher you may have to open the dos prompt in Administartor mode)

To Hide:

X:\>attrib +a +r +s +h foldername

To unHide:

X:\>attrib -a -r -s -h foldername

X is the location of the folder to be hidden in hard disk

Please Note few facts:

Advantage:

1.With this method you can hide your folder which won't be shown in file explorer.

2.It requires no external software and application,so basically its your skill and eventually its free.

Disadvantage:

1.It can be logged on via DOS mode using the cd command if the pathname and the folder name is known

2.You've got to remember the pathname and the file where it has been hidden(tiresome to keep records)

3.Files within the folder could be searched using the Windows search using the name of the files.

Conclusion:

Quite a simple technique if you want some of your files to be hidden from prying eyes by changing the file name or the extension name which would make it difficult for other users to search for it within the hidden folder.

This technique is useful only if your files aren't sensitive datas.
